The payroll professional has at least three years payroll practicing experience prior to undertaking the assessment. Experience can include: 

• Payroll Processing 
• Payroll Reporting 
• Payroll Systems 
• Payroll Consulting 

Pathway 2 

The candidate has at least 12 months of payroll practicing experience prior to undertaking the assessment, and has completed the following two courses of study within the last 12 months’: 

• Payroll Essentials 
• Advanced Payroll 

In order to maintain your certification you will be required to re-sit the CAPP assessment prior to your certification lapsing. A (10%) discount is applied for re-certification assessments. 

Australian Payroll Association will notify you by email three months prior to your certification expiring, in order to provide sufficient opportunity to schedule and study for re-certification. 

Badges offer employers and peers tangible evidence of the efforts required to earn your credential and the competencies you have developed. 

Individuals may also obtain a hard copy certificate on request.
